Bukidnon, officially the Province of Bukidnon, is a landlocked province in the Philippines located in the Northern Mindanao Region. Its capital is the city of Malaybalay. How to get in Bukidnon?

Being the landlocked province that Bukidnon is, there are no direct commercial flights to the province despite the availability of public and private airstrips there. If you wish to reach Bukidnon via air, you can get flights to Cagayan de Oro instead and travel by land from there. From Cagayan de Oro, all it takes is just an hour and a half to travel straight to Malaybalay, Bukidnon’s capital city, by bus. If you are coming from Davao City, there are also buses bound to Bukidnon via the town of Salawagan with an estimated travel time of three and a half hours. You can also hire jeepneys and vans from Cagayan de Oro or Davao if you are a huge traveling pack.

A cheaper alternative is to travel by sea. Similar to traveling by air, the closest you can get to Bukidnon is through Cagayan De Oro City. The Port of Cagayan is the closest seaport to the province. From there, you can travel by land to reach the cities and municipalities of Bukidnon. Several ferry services offer sea travels to Cagayan de Oro from Manila, Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, and Camiguin.
