Tofu is one of the healthy foods that provide high protein and contains all the essential amino acids your body needs.
One of Tofu’s recipes is called Stinky Tofu.  This recipe has two major secrets, the first one is that the tofu is stinky but it is not stinky.  The second is the ingredients method and the step in making of seasoning juice.  The production of this seasoning juice is always secreted by major chain stores and roadside stalls.  But if you can do both secret methods you can make delicious stinky tofu.
In some places in Taiwan, they are also a different specialty in preparing Stinky Tofu. You can make it as a snack or meal.
Actually, the origin of Tofu comes from China and is usually made from plain soybean.  Stinky Tofu is made from fermented vegetables in a brine bamboo herb that gives off a hard smell.  Fermented curd stay lasts the smell of it.
This recipe is really nutritious, most people will love it.  Aside from Chinese and Taiwanese, Asian people also love its taste.  This food is not bad, its pungent odor is due to the herbs that it contains while it is boiled.
There are many ways to prepare it.  Exploring Chinese cuisine is a very different taste but it is nutritious and healthy food.  This recipe is also known for health-conscious people because they consider it as a portion of vegetarian food.

INGREDIENTS
 • 14-ounce block of firm tofu
 • 4 Stinky fermented bean curd, mashed
 • 2 green onions, minced
 • 1/2 teaspoon red chili peppers
 • 2 teaspoons potato starch (halve if using cornstarch)
 • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
 • 1 teaspoon sugar
 • 2 medium cloves of garlic, minced
 • 1 tablespoon parsley
 • 1 teaspoon white spirit
 • 1 teaspoon fennel powder
 • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
 INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix the water, stinky fermented bean curd, and white spirit in a large sealable container.
2. Add the tofu into the fermented bean curd water.
3. Seal the lid and put it in the refrigerator for more than 24 hours
4. Remove the refrigerated soaked tofu and drain it.  Heat frying pan with oil, and fry the soaked tofu until it becomes golden.  Transfer it to a plate and set aside.
5. Heat the frying pan with oil, and stir-fry garlic until fragrant.  Add fennel powder, oyster sauce, 1/2 bowl of water and cook until water boiling.  Pour the soaked tofu, stir and cook for 1 minute.
6. Sprinkle with starch water and parsley on it.  Transfer it on a plate.  Serve and enjoy eating.
