Chicken Bicol express is the same as the popular Bicol Express dish. This recipe is cooked using boneless chicken breast which lowers fat and cholesterol compared to pork.  It also contains high protein content.

Chicken Bicol express is super easy and just cooked fast.  It has a sweet and savory taste to it and the ginger is just right.  This dish is flavored with garlic onion and ginger to help give the dish more flavor.  It can be served on special occasions or even on regular days.

Here are the ingredients and steps on how to cook the chicken Bicol express.

 Ingredients

 1 kg.  of sliced ​​boneless chicken breast
 2 pcs.  Knorr chicken cube
 4 cups of coconut milk
 4 pcs.  of sliced ​​green chili
 10 pcs.  of chopped Thai chili
 2 small ginger (minced)
 4 tbsp.  before you know it
 2 pcs.  chopped onion
 8 cloves of crushed garlic
 6 tbsp.  cooking oil


 Procedure:

1. Heating the pan and add the oil.  First, saute the garlic, it is better if you wait until becoming light brown.  Saute onion and ginger until garlic softens.  Place sliced ​​chicken breast in a pan with Thai chili pepper and cook until chicken is light brown.

2. Pour the Coconut milk into the cooked chicken in the pan and mix it well then let it simmer.  Coconut milk is the most important ingredient in any Bicol express cook.  It gives it a nice flavor because of its creamy.  You can also use coconut cream other than coconut milk.

3. Put the knorr chicken cubes in the cooked dish for added flavor.  Continue cooking with low to medium heat until the broth is reduced to half.  Add the shrimp paste and the green chili to the pan and mix well.

Once the dish is finished cooking it can be prepared at the dinner table with hot rice. I enjoy the time they taste the Chicken Bicol Express.
